Poster produced for London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) and London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) to promote rail services to Edinburgh. The poster shows a view of the city from the North British Hotel, showing the Castle, art gallery, Scott Memorial and Prince’s Street. Artwork by Henry Rushbury, who studied art at the Birmingham College of Art and later at the Slade Art School under Henry Tonks. He was a watercolourist, etcher and drypoint artist who favoured architectural scenes.
