Poster produced on behalf of the War Organisation of the British Red Cross Society and the Order of St John of Jerusalem to advertise the 'Penny-A-Week' appeal. The image shows a small child holding a collection tin up to a train driver, who is seen leaning out of his locomotive, offering her money. The picture is reminiscent of the famous and very popular picture of a young boy standing on a platform looking up at a driver leaning out of his window, which appeared in a Southern Railway (SR) poster of 1936. Artwork by an unknown artist. Art Prints are printed on heavy matte finish German art paper using the finest Canon archival inks. Quality Frame with a single white matboard and Acrylic glazing.
